The BPS (British Psychological Society) have recently launched a new initiative; their BPS Learning Centre. This is a new training and development portal that provides information on professional development opportunities and also houses the online CPD system where BPS members can record their professional development.
We have been working with the BPS to set up a portfolio of online courses that have been tailored to meet the needs of psychologists. This portfolio is now available through the BPS Learning Centre and includes six courses: Data Protection, Freedom of Information, Project Management, Advanced Negotiation, Leadership Skills and Managing High Performing Teams.
Creating this portfolio has been an enjoyable challenge for our Development Team, as it was important when working with the subject matter experts to tailor the content, that the topics and scenarios that were included within each course, were pitched at exactly the right level to stimulate the BPS members and provide them with a worthwhile learning experience.
The BPS have created a fantastic resource with their Learning Centre and we hope that this, in conjunction with our courses that they are offering, will mean that the initiative is a success.
